Use of the iAPP Navigation Software During Aircraft Landing
It is hereby announced that one of the pilots at Rasht Airport, in the audio file below, expressed appreciation for the design of the software and stated that during landing he used the 137 navigation software to determine the aircraft’s exact position relative to the airport. Even at an altitude of 500 feet, the software performed effectively and displayed both the airport location and the aircraft’s current position. This means that in situations where the weather is cloudy and visibility is insufficient, instead of relying solely on guidance from the control tower to determine the exact position and plan a safe landing, the pilot can use this software to align the aircraft’s direction with the runway. Viewing the precise position relative to the airport is considerably easier than receiving voice instructions from the control tower and estimating the position.
Interestingly, this pilot has also requested the activation of the world map feature in the software, and we hope to provide this capability for the intelligent people of Iran in the near future. We also congratulate this insightful pilot for discovering an excellent application for this software.
